Alex and Guinness (and a competition)
Not to be confused with Alex Guinness [renowned actor] – I have made a video that has a three fold effect:
1. I got to play with my Flip Camera!
2. Get to show you all that it DOESN’T rain in Ireland all the time and show you where I live…
3. Show how brilliant my man Alex Jefferys is by comparing him to that other brilliant thing – Guinness! [most improtant part really!]
Look out for the competition details – you could win the very Guinness that I use in the video [part 3]
Also I am VERY sorry that it went SOOOO long…leasson learned…SHUT UP HARRY!
Let me know what you think as I will be taking it down in a few days….so that I can put up a better one more informative video.

Hazza,
Interesting videos dude. I watched them all but the wind in #’s 2 and 4 was a bit deafening. Maybe you could cup your hand around the mike or something.
So, you are comparing Alex Jeffreys to a Guinness huh?
Well, I think Alex Jeffreys could be compared to several animals:
1st – a beaver – coz he is always beavering away at something,
2nd – a tiger – coz he is a tiger for punishment,
3rd – an owl – coz he always seems to be awake at night,
4th – a whale – coz he always seems to be having a whale of a time,
5th – a zebra – coz he has well and truly earned his stripes and…
… last but not least – a MOLE – coz he is always disappearing UNDER-bloody-GROUND!
So, Hazz-Man just send me the plastic thingy now and be done with it. Oh, and slip a few bucks inside it will ya so I can go down the pub and fill it up on you Hazza!

Hi Hazza,
Nah, not to the Gazz-man the postage is too dear ha ha ha!!
Ok, I will try and keep this short ….
1. A Duracell Battery …. while others flounder around us, Alex keeps on going and going and going ….
2. A can of Red Bull …. the energy Alex gives the F500 it feels like the F500 all have wiiings !
3. The Road Runner ….. given the speed and pace of Alex he reminds me of the Road Runner … meep meep !
think that will do for now off the top of my head lol !!
Cheers

Hey Harry
How am I spending my Friday evening? Nope, not out enjoying myself in the sun, but sitting at my computer watching your videos. Now that’s dedication.
A couple of things I feel the need to mention:
A seaweed bath. Now, surely that’s just all slimy? Of the many things that I wish to invite into my bath with me, I’m not sure seaweed is top of my list.
Alec Guinness was Obi Wan Kenobi, not Alex Jeffreys…while there are certainly some comparisions, I don’t think Alex Jeffreys has gone into hiding away from the Sand People – oh, and he’s not that old either! (I have to add that in as Alex & I are the same age…and while I may sometime feel as old as Obi-Wan, I don’t generally look it! Unless it’s the morning after the night before, and then it’s probably a fair comparison! Ha ha).
I have to agree with you that head size is very important – not too small, not too big. I can’t wait for the Dalai Lemur to pick up on that comment. Anyway, on a more sensible note I agree with you – arrogance is a complete no-no, but you do want a mentor that has faith in their own abilities & self. Otherwise what would be the point?!
“What’s the scores George Dawes!” Now that made me laugh. *rubs hands on knees* Eranuuuu! Perhaps we should summon the Dove From Above…
Let’s see, was I going to put anything sensible into this comment?! Hmm.
You wanted to know what I would compare against Alex…let’s see, the Dalai Lemur has gone for animals, Tommy has gone for batteries, Red Bull and the roadrunner. Not sure how to compete really!
Actually, I’m going to go on your theme here, and say that Alex is like Obi-Wan Kenobi, as he has mastered the use of the (internet marketing) Force although knows that there is always more to learn, and has patiently been teaching us (as Obi-Wan patiently teaches Luke in A New Hope IV) how to feel the IM Force, and then control it to use to our advantage. He has pointed out that we need to clear our minds of other distractions, and feel the Force flowing through us (ok, so maybe I read ‘Force’ as ‘tea’ – whoops) – in Alex’s case all relating to KOTOBOT of our businesses.
I’m on a roll here.
Alex has also been strong enough to stay away from the Dark Side of Guru-land, knowing that he *could* just sell us the magic button that all these others gurus promise (& therefore be promoting the Dark Side), but instead he has resisted that temptation and has used the IM Force for good.
He has also (as Obi-Wan did) promoted the benefits of the F500 working together – we aren’t all competing for the same slice of the IM pie, and so there are those of us that have formed good friendships throughout all of this. Think of Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie – all comrades working together (eventually!). Without these JVs we just wouldn’t be as strong as we are now.
No prizes for guessing what I’m going to watch over the weekend – time to get the Trilogy out I think! Although maybe not indulge in the Star Wars Drinking Game – could get just a little too messy for my liking!
I think that’ll do for now – I’m sure I’ll think of more things to add along this theme, but this will do to start!!

Hi Harry,
Well not one video you give us, you go on a bit of a Guinness induced binge and give us four, LOL.
So who do I compare Alex Jeffreys to?
Well I reckon it has to be Robin Hood !!
First, we have his band over merry men (and women!) – the F500.
Next, the legend of ‘Robin Hood’ spread across the world and went down in folklore, Alex’s Jeffreys’ name has spread across Cyberspace in rapid time.
Robin Hood took from the rich and gave to the poor. Alex reveals the secrets of the rich (the gurus) and gives freely to his readers.
Now if Alex is Robin I think that makes you Friar Tuck, Harry, LOL.
Any suggestions for the rest of the crowd – Maid Marion, Little John …etc?
Garry.

Howdy Hazza,
Just hijacking your blog as I am apt to do from time to time…
Er Garry, as PMW@LOT has suggested I am defo not “Little John.” Hmm… maybe after that I should be Will Scarlet.
Just on that score… when I was in the UK I went to the Sherwood Forest and it is NOWHERE near Nottingtham. Now I gotta say that REALLY confused me and I drove people NUTS asking about it.
