“But what if they don’t understand my accent….!”

So my first video is off the ground – inspired of course by Alex himself.

The question above was a very real one.  I am Irish as many of you know and while we have a lovely lilt (and ooze with charm) and we have among our collective sons the likes of U2, Colin Farrell, Westlife, and Boyzone and a number of other there was still an issue….

I thought that maybe there may be, however slim, a risk that people would not get my accent…but then I thought – STOP WORRYING, and remembered the words of our Great Mentor when he said:

“Don’t get it right get it started! Redesign later……”

…and if Alex can wooo the world with his Cardiff slang then I was sure going to give it a try with my Celtic lilt!

For your information the software/ programs used were:

• Camtasia 6 (really cool and fun)
• Mindmap – http://mindomo.com is were I decided to go as there are a few features including inserting videos and audio into the map and making it available online to others which I want to do in the future.
• Headset – cheap thing around $10, if that.

I have been a very busy chappy (new blog and all that – you like?) and also finally got my PPP up and running and on a domain http://internetzerotohero.com more on that later!

As you can see I have now transferred my wordpress blog to my own domain – and I did it myself, couldn’t use the techy guy – Yipeee!

I will be playing with the theme a bit to get it right and looking good….as well as adding some ‘essential’ plug ins and all that!

I am back to the drawing board after my struggle with the dark side of the force , in this instance the Sith-Like Flu………

You will also be happy to hear that I will no longer have glowing yellow eyes or speak in extremes….(except to say I will TOTALLY be successful and that I am REALLY tired of Barney (I have a 4 year old that was ill too)

So I will review Modules 1 and 2 and – get this – make videos (camtasia) of the MindMaps discussing the principles that we covered as well as the ‘takeaways’ and what I am doing with the information and where I am going with it….all very exciting stuff for Internet younglings.

The videos will cover the information by way of overview and then I will drill down and write my actions and what happened below in text.

Monday is a big day as I have an appointment with the ‘techy guy’ (decided to call in a few favours – he is great) and should be able to get a blog design the befits the journey that we are undertaking together.

So back to the drawing board and on with the show………

Some have wondered why I have not been about the last few days….thing is I have had a VERY bad bout (I know why the call it a bout, cause I feel I have had a boxing match) of the flu (and no not the man flu this is for real – the whole family is down).

I will be getting back to things soon and will catch up….don’t forget me…..

Hi fellow Internet Jedi’s….(wink to Mr. Lucas)

One of the things that I know has impressed all of us is the solidarity that we have all shown to each other as we are grown to greatness by Alex.

I would love to commemorate our class of 08 in a special way and make a cool video consisting of our photos and some great music, all with a little twist al a Harry!  It will be something to show the grandkids!

The idea too is to do a video next year (I know it seems a long way off, but time flies) and we can have some shots of what we have accomplished with the success…say holidays (with or with family ha ha) car house or whatever succes means to you….for me it is the freedom to work how and when I want to and spend more time with my beautiful famly!

I hope you all think that this is a cool idea and get on board…
