After the Module 2 webinar (excellent stuff Mr Jeffreys!) I had noticed that 1and1.com have a sale on .com domains, they are only $3.99, valid till 31December – just thought you would like to know.

I heard you speak on the webinar yesterday just before I signed off to go off to sleep. Here in Europe it was getting really late.
Thanks for that domain tip. We might very well need to make use of that. Although it will probably be a little more expensive if you choose the privacy option, which is good if you want to avoid spam.

Good to hear you on the webinar last night, like Carl didn’t make it to the end. Will have to move to the states for December.
Nice tip on the domains, got one yesterday from namecheap.com, $9.69 and that included privacy.
As Carl says, you need the privacy. I didn’t know about it the first time I registered a domain and I was receiving spam within hours (still do).

As a newbie I’m going to keep asking random questions, so I apologise in advance!
Do you know whether the Baby package that you get with Hostgator also includes privacy? If not, then who would you recommend that I go with?

I’ve just gone through Hostmonster as you suggested, and it’s trying to bill me upfront for my hosting (as in the whole 36 months’ worth) – er, no!
Does anyone know whether any of these hosting companies will bill you monthly so that I’m only paying for it one month at a time?
Grrr….and there I was almost getting myself set up!! Rude!!

Sorry that you have had trouble….I know that HostGator is monthly….but no domain included – could be a solution.
I was speaking to a friend of a friend and he is a reseller and has unlimited hosting so I am going to use him – in fact I am going there on Monday to sort out a few things, blog etc…but that is by the by.
Let us know here what you decided to do as some might like to see what other options there are!
